Your cross you carried
witnessing the Christian Faith.
Virtues
your actions wrote!
Prayer Penances you offered
in tears and holy perseverance
awaiting your son's conversion and
the Holy Trinity your request granted.
Virtues
your thoughts wrote!
Forgiveness you exemplified
as your husband offenses piled up
your Christlike unfailing and constant Love
freed him from the chains of his addictions
Virtuous Saint Monica,
Christlike reflection for all
reminding us our purpose here.
