154 Days - 180 Poems - 22 Posts (Poems 18, 19, 20)

Hello to my readers, I had told you how much I enjoy writing Haiku poems. Well, we are not through it yet. Today was a busy day. Certain areas of our city are still recovering from the disaster of the floods. Today, I found myself at the heart of it, and learned more than I would have expected too. I understood one thing; that disaster hit all of us. It makes no difference between the rich and the poor. Instead, it brings them both closer. I was really tired tonight, and was tempted to go to bed without writing. But the challenge lays ahead, and more than ever I must not be complacent. I wrote 3 Haiku poems... Poem 18 --- Countdown: 154 - 182 - 22 Poem 19 --- Countdown: 154 - 181 - 22 Poem 20 --- Countdown: 154 - 180 - 22 At times, I will just jolt my thoughts and then make them visible for you the following day. Stay tuned.

155 Days - 183 Poems - 22 Posts (Poem 17)

Hello to my readers, I must say the poem I posted for my connections on facebook page on Saturday was a random from the ones I had written since the beginning of the challenge. In fact, I asked a family member to pick a random number between 1 and 16. So the number picked was 1. Therefore the first poem written was posted. Now that I am pondering, should I permit you to view those weekly poems as well? mmm... Food for thought!!! Well, what to write about today was an overwhelming because I had so many ideas. My pen could not focus. There I turned to a talk I heard on TV about Mary, our Lady, and went into the Haiku world. Her surrender to the Lord often moves me - I am the Handmaid of the Lord! Beautiful! Beautiful! Beautifu; !!! Countdown: 155 Days - 183 Poems - 22 wks/posts

Poem 8: My favorite verse of all times in the Scriptures is Luke 2:19. Today, it was in my meditations on Mother Theresa. Then I thought why not at last write on these. When I look around me, I see that every Christian woman who truly shines Christ is one who is able to live these words of Luke on Mary. Every year on January 1st as we entrust the year to our Lady, I look forward to hearing them in the Gospel of the Day.Our Lady, Queen of Peace, Pray for us. With the floods that our city, I found myself writing my reflections at last on the events through a series of Haiku poems. one of my favorite styles of poetry. 159 days - 193 poems - 23 posts (Poem 7)

Inspiration by the Wisdom 9 and the Book of Genesins As I reflect on the book of Wisdom today, my thoughts drift to Mary and her role in guiding us to Jesus. If Jesus is the Way, the Truth and the Life, is not amazing how God gives us a way to the Way. This way from the beginning of time is the woman he chose; the one between the serpent and whom he puts a great enmity. Solomon with his words paints perfectly her role in our life, pleading that She be dispatched from the Heavens for she will guide him and teach him. Many prefer to take the stairs to Jesus, and I must admit sincerely that I enjoy taking the elevator to him; Mary, our mother!!! Mary, Seat of Wisdom, pray for us. 160 Days - 194 poems - 23 posts (Poem 6)

Inspired by St John the Baptist. Today is the feast of St John the Baptist, the readings of the day reminded me of our call to go and be apostles of the lord. As I am still reading the Life of St Gianna, and continues to do my morning meditations of Bl. Mother Teresa, today seems to bring a commonalit in all these three's life; we must follow Christ without Fear. We must put on the Holy Spirit and His gift of Courage. St John the Baptist, pray for us Countdown: 160 Days - 194 poems - 23 Posts

161 Days - 195 Poems - 23 Posts (Poem 5 )

Inspiration of the Day from St Gianna Molla... Recently, I came across the life of St Gianna Molla, actually not just her life but the Love Letters she had written her husband. This book is an amazing treasure that will inspire every Catholic mother, spouse and young lady. We only know St Gianna as the voice of the Unborn, but there was so much more to embrace in this book, along with the reflections she and her husband exchanged during their courtship. Reading this precious book inspired me of the poem of the Day. St Gianna Molla, pray for us. Countdown: 161 days - 191 poems - 23 posts

Inspiration Source - Bl. Teresa of Calcutta The Poem of this day was inspired by mother Teresa and her Unconditional love for the Sacred heart of Jesus. Her response to his thirst of loving us and of being loved. I been meditating quite a bit on her writing, and through her received the knowledge our late pope B. John Paul II also wrote on the thirst of Jesus. I am yet to read it. Blessed Mother Teresa of Calcutta, pray for us. Countdown: 162 Days - 196 poems left - 23 posts.

163 days - 197 poems- 23 posts (Poem 3 )

Today's poem sprang from a reflection, a desire to be grateful to many saints who throughout my life have assisted me. I call them often times my Heavenly Siblings; I see them as Project Managers who have had a tendency to know at the door of my to be hired :-) Or at times I have knocked at their doors to hire them. So today is a day of acknowledgement to some Saints. Call it part I Countdown: 163 days left - 197 poems left - 23 posts Thank you. F.M.

165 days -199 poems-23 posts (Poem 1)

Inspired by a conversation The poem of the day was inspired by a conversation with someone who went for mass in a Catholic Church; amazed by the bravery of the priest who spoke, he has not stopped returning since then. Exploring the Catholic faith, this priest has succeeded in showing him so far that Life with Christ gives you another perspective in the way you view things around you. 165 Days - 200 Poems - 23 Posts / The Challenge!!!

THE CHALLENGE At times, we may be hired for many things in life, but time must be found for the ultimate gift and passion we have within ourselves. After two weeks of pondering, I decide to take on a challenge. This will get me to focus more on writing and achieve a goal. Therefore, on June 19, 2013, I make official to all my friends online that from today until November 30, 2013, there is 165 days left. I must write 200 poems by then, not including any of the one I have written since the release of my first book. To my peers, I include that a poem will be released weekly. That is 23 weeks therefore 23 poems. Yet for all to know that I am indeed writing, I will post a little blog about what has been my inspiration for the day. To kick it off, here posted is a floem done last year...

 So Let get started... F.M.
